Job Descriptions
Two openings of tenure-track assistant professors or higher levels appointed in both the Master of Public Health (MPH) program and the Institute of Food Safety and Health (IFSH). The project-based assistant professor will be appointed in the IFSH. In addition to researches, the faculty members are expected to lecture on undergraduate, MPH, and IFSH courses.
Job Qualifications
- A doctoral degree from a leading university around the world in food safety and health, or relating fields listed below:
- Food microbiology
- Food chemistry
- Safety assessment of foods and food processing
- Health risk communications of regulations and policies on food safety
- Nutritional epidemiology
- Other relating fields that are complementary to the researches of other faculty members in the IFSH and in the College of Public Health, National Taiwan University
- Possesses good English proficiency; Mandarin is not a must
Required documents
- A curriculum vitae with a publication list
- Copies of diplomas and certificates of important experiences
- Copies of academic transcripts from undergraduate to doctoral degrees
- Full-text copies of representative papers within five years and reference papers within seven years
- Teaching and research plans
- Three letters of recommendation (two for the project-based position)
- Any other documents demonstrating the qualifications, such as previous teaching courses, research grants, academic awards, etc.
Important dates:Tenure-track positions are from the August, 2020; application review will start on Jan. 15th 2020, and will continue until the positions are filled. The project-based position is from January 2020 till July 2021, and the application review will start on Dec. 9th 2019 till the position is filled.
